Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Babar Awan claimed that a conspiracy was being hatched to assassinate party president Imran Khan during his court appearance in the federal capital. Avan has islamabad I have made this claim while representing the PTI chief in an anti-terrorism court. He sought permission for the presence of his client in the matter through video link. He said, “We have fresh information and concrete evidence that a foreign agency wanted to kill the PTI chairman.
He said that Khan was attacked in Wazirabad last year, but the government took two polarized stand as first it claimed that there was no attack, later the same people claimed that a religious fanatic had attacked him. Talking about registering cases against PTI leaders over the judicially complicated incident, he said, “Imran Khan’s personal security team is now being targeted as these people want to separate Imran Khan from any kind of security.”
Ex PM is being harassed
Ahmed Niazi was Imran Khan’s security in-charge, he said, adding that the PTI chief was being denied security by naming party workers in the cases. He said that the former Prime Minister is being forced to appear in the court.
PM Shahbaz Sharif should answer in writing
Babar Awan said that the suspect in Imran Khan’s assassination case was allowed to appear in the court via video link, but PTI chairman is being denied this facility. He said that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and the government should give in writing that if anything happens to Khan, he will be responsible for it.
