SpaceX Aay i.e. will launch its new rocket in space on Monday. Passengers going to the International Space Station include two astronauts from NASA (Stephen Bowen and Warren Woody Hoberg), one from Russia (Andrey Fadeev) and one from the United Arab Emirates (Sultan Alneyadi).
All four astronauts will stay on ISS for 6 months
These astronauts will do research on a variety of topics in space. This team of astronauts will remain on the ISS for 6 months. Sultan Alneyadi will be the fourth astronaut from an Arab country and the second from the United Arab Emirates to travel to space. His compatriot Hazza al-Mansoori flew in for an eight-day mission in 2019. Alneyadi described this mission as a great honor.
2 astronauts from NASA, one each from UAE and Russia
At the same time, Fadeev is the second Russian cosmonaut to fly to the International Space Station on the SpaceX rocket. Despite US-Russia political tensions, an agreement was reached between NASA and Roscosmos under which NASA astronauts would fly to the station on a Soyuz capsule, while Russian cosmonauts would board Crew Dragon.
Let us tell you that SpaceX also launched a rocket in October last year. At that time also four astronauts went to the International Space Station.
