Punjab CM Mann takes strict action in TET irregularities case, suspends two professors   


Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann has taken the stringest action against irregularities in the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET). Taking measures in the matter,  Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has suspended two GNDU professors after they were reportedly found guilty in the creating the irregularities. After a thorough investigation, the Punjab chief minister has now ordered their immediate arrest. 

Two arrested in irregularities in TET

The arrested professors are Dr Hardeep Singh and Dr Ravinder Singh from Department of Computer Science and Department of Electronics Technology, respectively at the Guru Nanak Dev University. They have been suspended with immediate effect. 

Punjab CM condemns the act

Punjab chief minister has taken to Twitter to slam the act and said the state does not have any scope for cheating.

“Paper leak..means cheating on the future of millions of students which breaks the dreams of the youth. Our government is the government of the dreams and hopes of the youth of Punjab.. The carelessness in the TET paper of Punjab will not be tolerated… I direct the police to immediately arrest the culprits,” the Punjab CM said in a tweet.
