70 Pharma Company of Himachal Pradesh
Among the companies whose licenses have been cancelled, there are 70 companies in Himachal Pradesh, 23 in Madhya Pradesh and 45 in Uttarakhand. This is not the first time that the Drugs Controller General of India has taken action against the pharma company. A few months ago, the license of some pharma companies of Himachal and Uttarakhand was cancelled. Notice has also been issued to two companies that deliver these medicines online to the people. Action has been taken on both these companies as a violation of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act. These companies have been told that when the court has banned the delivery of medicines online, then why are they selling medicines online. In this matter, an answer has been sought from them and it has also been said to take appropriate action if the correct answer is not received.
Delhi High Court had issued the order
A few days ago the Delhi High Court had issued an order against three online pharmacies. These companies were found to be selling medicines without a license from DGGI. Then the court had issued an order to the DGCI to take action. After which several teams of the Drugs Controller General of India are inspecting the pharmaceutical companies.
