Covid Cases in Maharashtra: Corona cases in Maharashtra have crossed the thousand mark for the third consecutive day. On Friday (April 14), 1152 new cases were reported in the state and 4 patients died. On Thursday also 1086 new cases were reported and one patient died. Talking about Wednesday, 1115 new cases were reported on that day. Talking about Mumbai, 284 new cases were reported on Friday and 1 patient died. 24 patients had to be admitted to the hospital and 5 patients were put on oxygen.
At present, the maximum number of active cases are in Mumbai. At present there are 1643 active patients in Mumbai. There are 1056 total active cases in Thane district adjacent to Mumbai. From April 4 till now, more than two hundred new cases are coming to the fore every day in Mumbai.

Corona’s havoc is showing fast in Mumbai too
Around 250 to 300 cases were reported on 7th and 13th April. On both these days, 276 and 274 cases were reported. On April 12, this figure had crossed three hundred. A total of 320 new cases were reported in Mumbai on this day. In the last ten days, less than a hundred cases were reported in Mumbai only on April 10. A total of 95 new cases were reported on this day.
1152 new cases came in Maharashtra and 920 were also cured.
According to the information given by the Maharashtra government, 920 people have recovered from Corona in the last 24 hours in the state. In this context, 80 lakh 126 people have been cured of corona in Maharashtra so far. The corona recovery rate in the state is 98.11 percent. After the death of four patients on Friday, at present the corona death rate in the state is 1.82 percent. So far, corona testing of 8 crore 67 lakh 72 thousand 6 people has been done in the state. Out of these, 81 lakh 54 thousand 529 samples have been found positive. In this way, the corona positivity rate in Maharashtra is 9.40 percent.

Please tell that the investigation of foreign passengers has started at the airports of Mumbai, Pune and Nagpur in Maharashtra. According to the instructions of the Government of India, it was started from 24 December 2022 itself, which is continuing till now. Under this, thermal screening of all passengers is done. Out of these, samples of 2 percent passengers are taken. Out of these, those who are found to be Covid positive, their samples are sent for genome sequencing.
