Different statements of ICMR and doctors regarding the corona wave, mistakes are happening here

Corona new wave: in India corona virus The graph of is increasing every day. In the last 24 hours, more than 7 thousand new cases have been registered. Meanwhile, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has admitted that a new wave of corona has arrived in the country, although there is nothing to panic about. Experts have a different opinion on this statement of the government. Experts have said that it is not right to call only 10,000 cases as new wave. The next wave of Covid is considered only when there are more cases than the previous one.

Meanwhile, it is also important to know that how many cases of Kovid are coming this time. What is the difference between the previous waves and the cases coming this time.

Let us look at these figures to know

Till now there have been three waves of Kovid

The first wave was at peak on 17 September in 2020. Then 97,849 cases of Kovid were registered in one day

The second wave was at its peak on May 7, 2021, when 4.14 lakh cases came.

The peak of the third wave came in the year 2022 on 20 January. Then 3 lakh 47 thousand cases were registered

Cases were doubling every day during all the three waves. Hospitalizations were increasing. The death rate was increasing daily

More than one lakh tests were being done every day in all three waves

Now what are the figures in this wave

Now 10,158 cases have come in the last 24 hours. Active cases are more than 40 thousand.

Cases are not doubling every day.

There is no increase in hospitalization and death rate

Now there are less than 50 thousand tests daily

this is not new wave

Epidemiologist Dr. Anshuman Kumar Told that this statement of the government can cause panic among the people. It is not right to call it a new wave only when there are seven thousand cases. Corona has become a flu in India. The case reports that are also being done are of those people who are undergoing treatment for other diseases. Neither the death rate nor hospitalization is increasing due to Covid. The symptoms of the new variant of the virus are also similar to cough and cold. Cases are not even getting doubled. In about two weeks, the cases have reached 10,000. Whereas in all the waves before this, the cases used to reach more than 50 thousand in these days. In such a situation, it is not right to call the increasing cases a new wave this time. Compared to the previous waves, even 10 percent cases are not coming this time. During the second wave, lakhs of cases were being reported. This time it is less than 10 thousand.

Dr. Kumar says that Kovid has become endemic in India. For the last one year, the effect of the virus is also ending. Only those patients who are going to the hospital for some other disease are getting positive. So this is not a new wave. This time there is not much increase in the cases which are increasing. In the next few weeks, the cases will also start decreasing.

Dr. Kumar said that even though the tests are decreasing this time, there is no relation between the tests and the figures this time. When the symptoms of the disease are not coming in most of the people, then there is no need to get the test done. There is no use of increasing the test.

it will cause panic

covid expert Dr Ajay Kumar Says that the government has alerted the people at all times. Despite the increase in cases, people were still negligent. But it is not right to call it new wave. The virus is not assessed by cases but by deaths and hospitalizations. This time both of them are not increasing. That’s why this is not a new wave. However, people are advised not to take Kovid lightly and follow all the rules to prevent this virus.
