Delhi’s Green cover has increased from 23 to 25 percent


Delhi News: In a bid to promote the awareness about the Green Cover, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that the Green Cover should be raised from 23 percent to 25 percent. This move will help in cleaning the city and also in curbing down the level of pollution. The Chief Minister said this year more than one crore Saplings will be planted across the city. We have already planted around 27.5 lakh saplings.

Our Green Cover is higher than London and NewYork

Arvind Kejriwal said, the Green Cover of the National Capital is higher than the other Metropolitan cities like Bengaluru, Mumbai and Kolkata, London and New York also. The Chief Minister has been trying to fight with the Pollution of the National Capital for a very long time. The air quality of Delhi improved drastically during the Pandemic as there was no traffic on the road and it helped in lifting up the quality of the air.

With planting more tress we can kill Pollution Completely

Delhi Chief Minister also adopted stringent measures to bring down the Pollution level by implementing Odd-Even scheme in the National Capital. Lots of other measures were also adopted to bring down the Pollution level like banning of entry of Heavy vehicles, using masks etc. By planting more trees in the city we can breathe in fresh air and also prevent our health from many deadly diseases.
