Mumbai: Delhi Capitals defeated UP Warriors by five wickets in the last match of the league stage of the Women’s Premier League (WPL). Delhi won the toss and decided to bowl first in this match. Delhi’s bowlers did not allow UP to score big and this team could score only 138 runs after losing six wickets after playing full 20 overs. After this, Delhi achieved the target by losing five wickets in 17.5 overs with their brilliant batting.

Delhi had to score 139 runs to win. He needed a good start which he got. Meg Lanning and Shefali Verma gave a good start to Delhi. Both shared a 56-run partnership for the first wicket. Shefali was dismissed after scoring 21 runs in 16 balls with the help of four fours. After this, Jemima Rodrigues (3 runs) returned to the pavilion on a total score of 67. After this, Lanning was also dismissed on a total score of 70 runs. He scored 39 runs in 23 balls with the help of five fours and two sixes.
