Clouds and Rains Across India! Is This the El Nino effect? Here’s the latest update for your region

Weather Update: Several areas across the country have been predicted to continue with rainy weather along with thunderstorms. The IMD has stated that isolated regions across India are expected to experience varying levels of intense weather conditions. However, IMD has also affirmed that August and September could receive rainfall lower than the average later onwards as El Nino has started to weaken. This also indicates that the weather could also become humid after this week.

For today, Uttarakhand could encounter heavy to very heavy rainfall, while Bihar, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura might witness heavy rainfall in isolated areas. Additionally, thunderstorms and lightning are anticipated in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, and Bihar at specific locations, adding uncertainty to the weather outlook.

Delhi

As per the latest weather update, Delhi and adjoining areas are predicted to remain mostly cloudy throughout the day. Also, low to moderate rainfall is likely in some regions. The maximum temperature, for today, will be 34 degrees while the minimum will be 28 degrees with humidity at 77%.

Mumbai

IMD has predicted that the city and its suburbs will be partly cloudy. The afternoon could be sunny as the chances of rainfall are low. The maximum temperature, for today, will be 30 degrees while the minimum will be 27 degrees with humidity at 77%.

Chennai

Chennai will experience rainy weather along with scattered thunderstorms. This weather trend will continue in the region until the weekend. For today, the maximum temperature will be 33 degrees while the minimum will be 27 degrees. The humidity will be at 78%.

Kolkata

Kolkata, too, will continue receiving moderate to high rainfall today as well along with isolated thunderstorms. Relief is unlikely for a few days more. ng with scattered thunderstorms. This weather trend will continue in the region until the weekend. For today, the maximum temperature will be 32 degrees while the minimum will be 27 degrees. The humidity will be at 76%.
