Kedardham Hotel Association has sent a memorandum
Kedardham Hotel Association has sent a memorandum to CM Pushkar Singh Dhami through Tehsil Ukhimath. In which the traders have warned of picketing and demonstrations on April 25 if the compulsion of limited number is not ended. The doors of Kedarnath are also opening on this day, if this happens then the administration may have to face big problems.
All the traders of Kedarghati are protesting against the limited number of pilgrims in the Chardham Yatra by the state government.
Traders said that the government is implementing new rules every year as soon as the yatra starts. It is not right to do such fraud with the employment of people dependent on travel.
Businessmen said that earlier registration was done offline, then passengers used to visit, but this year online registration has been made mandatory.
Prem Goswami, president of Shri Kedardham Hotel Association, said that the state government does not promote Chardham Yatra and wants to limit it. This year, devotees are being prevented from having darshan due to the compulsion of limited number of pilgrims and registration in Dhams.
Due to the limited number of passengers, the employment of people dependent on Kedarnath Yatra is ending.
Pramod Nautiyal, vice-president of the association, said that due to the compulsion of limited numbers, only 20 percent advance booking has come this year. Passengers are also in a state of confusion with the online registration system. Amit Makhandi, the treasurer of the Hotel Association, told that the state government has now told that registration will also be done after making advance booking.
Passengers are getting upset due to these types of rules. Many pilgrims come to Dham without booking, which provides employment to small hoteliers, but due to lack of passengers, there is a crisis of employment in front of everyone.
