Nowadays, such cases are coming to the fore in many places in which people’s lives are being lost on a large scale under natural calamities. In such a situation, the first thought that comes to our mind is that if such sudden calamities had been known in advance, then probably the lives of so many people could have been saved. How about if we say that soon mobile users will get an alert of disaster like earthquake, flood and tsunami in advance through a siren or alert. Can’t believe it? Actually the UK government has announced to start a new emergency alert service for its citizens. In such a situation, the government has announced that a siren-like alert will be sent to mobile phone users across the UK next month.

This will be a part of the test in the public warning system to avoid deadly incidents like earthquake, flood, tsunami and forest fire. UK wide alert test will be done on the evening of Sunday 23rd April. In this test, mobile phone users will get a message.

New Emergency Alerts

The new emergency alert will be used only in those areas where there will be a threat to the lives of people on a large scale. In such a situation, it is possible that people will not get any alert for months or years. There is a possibility that Terror Alert can also be added to the list of events. As of now it has not been added to the list. In this, mobile users will get an alert on the phone to deal with threats ranging from flood to forest fire.

Facility will be available at these places

EmergencyAlert will be used in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland and will focus on the most serious severe weather-related events, including severe flooding in England, and alert people in advance.
